KB Miniracing Rules
Mini-Z and 1/28th Rules
We will be running the rules from 28SRA found here https://www.28sra.com/en-it/pages/28sra-rules with the following exceptions below:
Box Stock class will be limited to Kyosho tires
Any class where the MR-03 is eligible the MR-04 will be eligible
We are allowing the Kyosho Aluminum Knuckle 0 degrees as the stock replacements are too hard to get and to help with durability.
Currently are popular classes are the Box Stock, 2500 Lipo, and our Open Pan (2wd Mod) and Open AAA (Evo's)
Our most important rule is we are here to have fun!
If it is not listed in the rules that you can do something, then please ask before you do it!
Losi NASCAR Cup Series Rules
Our Purpose
The KB Mini Racing Losi NASCAR Cup Series is designed to provide fun, affordable, close racing that captures the spirit of full-size NASCAR.
Our goal is simple:
· Buy a car.
· Charge the battery.
· Come race.
The class is intended to keep competition focused on driver skill rather than spending money on upgrades. A new racer should be able to purchase a stock Losi NASCAR and immediately be competitive.
Eligible Cars
Only the following Losi NASCAR Cup Series cars are permitted:
· Toyota Camry
· Chevrolet Camaro
· Ford Mustang
General Rules
Cars must remain in their original, stock configuration.
Allowed
· Cleaning and blueprinting components (bearing flush, motor cleaning, gear cleaning, etc.)
· Any shock oil
· Differential rebuild using grease only
· Standard aluminum motor heat sink (no fans)
· Aluminum 20-tooth servo saver for the stock low-profile servo
· Replacement hardware (wheel nuts, body clips, individual screws) if originals become damaged
· KB Mini Racing transponders and adapters
Not Allowed
· Removing, modifying, machining, or lightening stock parts
· Added ballast
· Differential oil (grease only)
· Cooling fans
· Complete aftermarket screw kits
· Electronic modifications
Tires
Only stock Losi yellow-sidewall Goodyear tires are permitted.
Allowed:
· Stock Medium compound
· Optional Losi Soft compound
Not Allowed:
· Losi Super Soft (red sidewall) tires
· Tire traction compound
Super glue may be applied to the tire sidewalls, but a portion of the yellow Goodyear lettering must remain visible.
Bodies
Approved bodies:
· Toyota Camry
· Chevrolet Camaro
· Ford Mustang
Not Allowed:
· Super Late Model Camaro
· Aftermarket bodies
Clear Losi replacement bodies are permitted and should be painted to resemble a NASCAR Cup Series car whenever possible.
Requirements:
· Three race numbers in standard NASCAR locations
· Windows may remain clear or be painted black
Batteries
Only the stock Losi Spektrum SMART 1400mAh battery included with the car may be used.
Any battery charger is permitted.
Radio System
Only the stock transmitter included with the vehicle may be used.
No electronic modifications are permitted.
